VILLA IRIS is in southern Tuscia only 60 km from Rome, which can be easily reached in less than an hour thanks to the excellent train services that connect this area with the capital. VILLA IRIS is on the outskirts of Corchiano, in ancient times Fescennium, which is perched on a tufaceous rock spur over a deep gorge hollowed out by the river Fratta. It was a prehistoric rural district of the Gens Falisca on the Etruscan Via Amerina. In the area, which is at the feet of the Cimini mountains, several Etruscan tombs have been found. Important archaeological finds can be admired in the museum of Villa Giulia in Rome and in the museum of Forte Sangallo in Civita Castellana. There is a large garden around the house equipped with garden furniture and in which there is a beautiful swimming pool (width 6 x 12 m, depth 1,50 m.). Because of the way the house has been divided it is possible to accommodate groups of friends who want to spend their holiday together while maintaining a degree of independence.
