Il Toppo is an ancient country house, completely renovated and today used as fashinating holiday home. Set in the green, fertile Valdichiana that stretches west to the far off mountain of Monte Amiata and Cetona. A stones throw from the house there is the charming, medieval town of Castiglion Fiorentino with period houses lining in its narrow lanes and Montecchio Castle, that still preserves an imposing tower and the boundary walls. The house's proximity to the town and to a secondary train route (approx. 500 m. far) make it convenient to visit the cities of Rome and Florence by train, both of which are just over an hour away. The old rustic threshing area around the house has been transformed into a well kept garden equipped with table and chairs and with a beautiful 6 x 12m swimming pool (depth 1,40-2,20m). The house is comfortably furnished with quality antiques. On the house side which overlooks the pool there is a bathroom with shower.
